We were that big company (50,000 employees, probably about 10,000 or so in technical roles across the enterprise) that had a bunch of custom portals and internal sites for all our dev stuff, and also Stoplight (Spotlight?) for APIs etc.. We

JSONPath has excellent documentation, you can absolutely answer that question for yourself very easily.

All these examples assume an understanding ahead of time of your data structure. Can you write examples in Python and Javascript where you'd extract those titles from an arbitrary JSON structure? ;-)

The innovative use of drones to capture a never-before-seen moment in nature? Nature/science meets technology/science. I found this fascinating.

There are hands-on reviews out there of this thing (The Verge and others) and they all say the projector is next to useless in outdoor light.

If only some of those options weren't wrecking communities and driving up housing costs for the locals!

This is a good point. When we travelled in Europe last summer 2 out of our 4 hotels (one in France and one in Switzerland) had kitchens in them, and it made a huge difference for a 5-6 day stay.. I've only seen this on rare occasions

Even the link in the header takes you to the tool itself (where you need to create an account to get anywhere). Main site link here: https://penpot.app/

Sure my comment was probably over-simplified, but I was imagining fines as coming out exclusively of whatever slice of money goes to the beneficiaries of public companies, vs. something that comes out of a bank account or operating expense

When public companies get fined, those fines should come 100% out of profits, not revenue. That might help resolve this kind of conflict of interest.

> I wonder how hard it would be to re-create this in Svelte proper Honest question: why would you? It feels like a better architecture for each front-end framework to simply compose an existing best-of-breed library like D3 rather than

I ordered one from Cliff 4-5 years ago and the whole process was delightful start to finish.. It looks like he has even added more stuff to the package since I did! The bottle itself is only part of the whole experience. :-)

I respect your opinion here but every instinct I have says you’re completely wrong about this. But neither of us can see the future, so who knows! I wish I could set a /remind for this thread and come back in 5(?) years to see who was

Can the Gemma models be downloaded to run locally, like open-source models Llama2, Mistral, etc ? Or is your definition of "open" different?

▲

I came here wondering if these models are "open" in the sense that they'll show up on sites like Ollama where you can download and run them locally. Am I correct to conclude that this means they eventually will? It's un

I know some people who map the CAPS key to Tab, so they don't have to stretch the pinky finger as far...

I refer to myself as a "six and a half finger typist" because I never did learn proper touch typing, but I can still type faster than most people. I do use the Backspace key a lot though. :-)

I would actually love to see an article on the design process for transforming toys like Transformers. It seems like such a cool design feat to come up with those. At least I thought so as a kid...
