My Lumix camera has a similar mode (uses sensor shift and 4 exposures to fake a composite 100MP image from my 25MP sensor), and I will say that even with a rock-solid tripod, you're not _actually_ getting a 4X (or whatever) increase in

Yeah I was in the same boat, most of my friends had Amigas (a rare thing in Canada) and I had a 286SX at the time.. But it was fun to compare notes and see what they could do that I couldn't (or vice-versa). Loved the demoscene, I wa

Not OP but based on their writeup it sounds like you do need to provide at least a target schema, so what data you need or expect to extract from the unstructured input. I assume that in the validation step if you don't get all those d

Oof.. I feel that pain, we had an Apple IIe that I taught myself to program on in the 80s, it was basically the genesis of my life and career, and oddly enough kind of a family heirloom for me.. When I left for university in the early 90s,

This is fascinating. I love the virtual processors dispatch queue concept (new to me) and I think I found my lunch reading for today. I also immediately went to eBay to see how much old Amiga computers cost, and.... Wow, they are pretty mu

Same feedback as everyone else: You fell into the trap of assuming that everyone else understands this topic/project/thing that you're deeply familiar with because you've been living it for so long. Not everyone knows wh

I was about to buy one of these until I saw it relies on a backend service that you provide. Any thoughts/plans on allowing a customer to self-host the backend? Or would you publish specs so someone could build their own? I love the i

Hmm is "model citizen" going to be the new term for people who offload too much of their critical thinking and decision making to AI/LLM systems?

I don't quite understand your point here? What is the "problem" you speak of in the first sentence? I don't see it explained in the rest of your post. Are you just pointing out that this is a very specialized field that

There you go, getting to the meat of it.. So your position is that an app installed on my phone is not able to track or collect any more data, and does not have access to any other information, than a website that I load in my device browse

An app absolutely can track more data than a website. You don't have the website open/active on your phone at all times, but you have the app installed at all times, even when it's not running. You do know that apps can reco
