I know I like "classical" music, but I dont know what. The problem is getting to know it. The barrier to entry is so large. Imagine if someone said "I like pop music" if they're 80, they'd be talking about bubb

Its big news because folks like gold bugs have been sounding the alarm that there's a lot of fake metal circulating keeping metals artificially low (implying the West is far more broke than it seems) Take it however you want, but the L

Three car seats for kids aged 1.5 to 7 don't really sit side by side in a mid-size SUV like a Sorrento. Its stupid, really. Hefty, booster seats from reputable brands seats have integrated cup holders. Cup holders. Also, consider that

Agreed... so whinny. I spent an hour [edit: today] arguing that the speed limit should be reduced to 25 mph. So many problems would be solved if we did that. But, when my Golf dies, I will be a full-size truck or an expedition. What can I s

Sure, but my point is that if the highest of rights - the constitutional ones - can be forfeited in jail, surely rights set in law can be lost or suspended.

They're in jail, by definition they have a restricted set of constitutional rights (they are incarcerated, ie they are not free!) For example, they can't own firearms. It may seem obvious that a person in jail can't possesses

If a bank is giving depositors unparalleled benefits to bank with them [1], alarm bells should ring. Let me be blunt. The last place I'd do my personal banking is the local bank of a region who's mantra includes: "move fast a

While I sympathize with them more than I would a tech bro, the principle is the same. What would happen if this happened to an employer's bank in Indiana? Your company's assets don't exist any more and you're insolvent.

Tech is a very high risk-high reward; its not so much that low interest rates favor high tech, but rather that high interest rates decimate high tech.

The irony as a fly-over-American is great. We are constantly and sanctimoniously told we have to move from our cities and towns to the Coastal regions. When toxic chemicals are spilled we're ignored, or worse - mocked. We're told
