One's attitude towards Elm directly correlates with the degree to which one likes to dig into and tinker with the internals of their tools and frameworks and rearrange things. Unfortunately that means it's a hard sell around HN--

Wow! Apologies if this is answered in those notes but my quick question is: Did you make extensive use of Debug.todo to cordon off sections of the app that wouldn't compile in order to work on and "see" the other sections in

I agree. Why isn't #1 "Be Earth's Best Employer"? Amazon didn't get where they are by practicing the rule "Try to be obsessed with customers".

Wouldn't the person with the worse "best" pitcher be incentivized to check? It's a zero sum game. Plus they could always have their best pitcher not cheat, then call the other team on it, and now you get your best pitche

If I were a fanboy wouldn't I be in favor of a Tesla-brand restaurant existing near every super charger? I'm saying it wouldn't be so great.

It feels a bit like the lab-virus theory felt last year. If you entertain the notion of it you're supposed to be ridiculed and possibly kicked out of polite society, but does it really deserve to be set alongside flat earth theory and

One of the things my wife and I like about having a Tesla is that it often can settle the where-to-eat question, or at least narrow it down. If we're passing by a charger the answer is whatever is in walking distance of the charger (us

Totally agree. I don't watch much streaming these days but from my limited experience Amazon and HBO are the only ones where i can tune in to a random new show and have a better than even chance it's not total pap.

It should be illegal on another basis as well. Paying it contributes to a norm that randoms will be paid that will encourage more randomware in the future against other companies. So you're harming other people when you pay it. That&#x

The missing part, not that we have a way to estimate, is cost of labor to drive the car. People don't usually factor it in but self-driving offers the ability to sleep, listen to music, work, have conversation or whatever during the dr

The keto diet is pretty forgiving. I did it for 2 weeks and aside from missing snacking and being annoyed that I had to check the carbs on everything (apples have a ton of carbs apparently-- who knew?) it was easy. All my normal meals are f

Do those times you just feel tired for no reason happen to correlate with being after the times you ate carbs? I'm not suggesting that's definitely the issue, but people underrate simple physical explanations for stuff like this.
