The Surface Book has a great screen but my god that machine was an absolute nightmare for the ~2 months I had it. Microsoft seriously screwed up on QC. Not to mention it was just way over-engineered. All people were asking for was a Sur

Had to happen sooner or later. I just wish Microsoft had not tied Edge so deeply into Windows 10 (did they not learn from doing the same with Internet Explorer?) as at the moment it is limited to updates as part of the OS (Windows Update) a

A little off topic but hey it's the weekend so here is a little story about smoking - I worked with a guy who used to go out for a "smoke break" every few hours with the others but never smoked. He used to grab a coffee and p

I only had a quick skim of the article so maybe I missed it but is there a quick disable for Face ID like there is for Touch ID? Can law enforcement just hold the phone up to your face and unlock it? We all know Touch ID is not protected un

Correct, Chrome OS is a Linux-based distribution. I believe it is/was based on Gentoo although I may be misremembering that.

I would also like if the developer would agree to release the source code under a FLOSS license should he find working on Sublime Text is no longer worthwhile for him (could be financial but could also just be because he has lost interest i

This is correct. By sticking to pure Win32 controls it allows screen readers to do their job properly. While making your own controls or using third party UI libraries will give you a nicer looking UI it makes the screen readers job much

Perhaps I am unusual but even for a professional programmer $70 is still a lot when there are other free tools that are just as good. Why would I spend $70 on an editor rather than treat myself to a new game or a nice meal out instead and h

While Sublime Text is a very good editor I do think $70 is a lot when you look at the free competition. VSCode and Atom did not exist when ST2 was released and ST2 offered the best out-of-box experience back then, now I am not so sure.
