As I understand there’s no pathway from E2 to Green Card. E2 visa holder will need to get extensions every two years. It is a great option, but there are a few downsides.

I used the HPUX version mostly as well. I still miss CDE. They waited too long to open source it. I would take CDE over GNOME any day.

Typically it's the main roads that have traffic jam. Neighborhood roads are open, so the dark store has to be close enough to the customers. It could be done, but would be expensive.

CDE had some great concepts. It was super consistent, dtksh allowed programming the GUI, fantastic built-in help. If it were not for the probably security-holy code-base, the missing creature comforts like anti-aliasing and dated look will

I'm all for changing the "Vision", for the book is not easily amenable to a show adaptation. But this new version is just turning out to be trite lately.

US immigration is a mess. Congrats on making it through. This is a great overview of the EB1 process. RFEs are unfortunately a fact of immigration and it really pays to do the work up-front to avoid them.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to form an NPE solely to assert patents against the government. It might finally irk them enough to improve the patent laws.

Very simple: thermal budget. Chip performance is limited by thermal budget. You just can't spend more than roughly 100W in a single package, without going into very expensive and esoteric cooling mechanisms.

See my earlier comment. Stock gains are often not taxed (retirement accounts, pension funds, etc) . And private company owners can postpone realized gains for a very long time or put it in a trust.

It’s not 0 tax for personal after-tax accounts, not for PE, hedge funds, 401k accounts, IRAs, so and so forth. Guess where most of the stocks are actually held. I have 0 in my cash account, lots in my 401k account.
