Just because all of Google pushes to prod thousands of times a day doesn't mean that the team within Youtube pushes to prod that often. They may have some sort of scheduled deploy cycle and likely a review process. During the holida

I ate at Sushi Dai the morning after Fukushima. A group from the hostel I was staying at spent the night at a manga cafe near Tsukiji that night. No line that morning.

This is just a buying opportunity for the big boys like Exxon. They'll snatch up the companies that fail and bide their time. It's not a new strategy—the well-capitalized oil companies do this every time the industry stalls. The

California's fuel prices will always be higher than other states because their blend is stricter than most of the rest of the nation and far fewer refineries are built to produce that blend.

If you end up more than a version behind in Rails and your project is sizable, you're in for a special version of hell. Especially if you develop on Mac OS X, the dependency issues with things like libxml2 are especially painful.

Isn't that what you would expect? Most cases fit within a predictable mold, on others they consult with the rest of their firm (or case law, journals—whatever else it is lawyers consult). Why would that be a bad thing?

I don't dispute your inflation figures. But I do find fault with your conclusion. Where is the proof that the children and grandchildren of WWII vets are living these upper class lives of private schools and expensive universities?
