You would need to add support to PostgresML. It doesn't seem to have an extension mechanism, maybe in the future. It seems easy enough, and you can use any Python libraries through Rust's PyO3 binding. PostgresML includes an examp

I guess Modula-2 is a fine language, but I think Modula-3 is better. There is a cross platform GUI toolkit (X11 and Win32) for Modula-3, for example: http://www.opencm3.net/doc/tutorial/ui/tutorial.html

By the way, this is as old as web. It's ironic to re-read https://dev.opera.com/blog/opera-s-site-patching/ published in 2009, which uses 2022(!) as a stand-in year for far future when hopefully none of this

Largest Rust systems aren't public, like both Dropbox server and client. Millions of lines of Rust are shipping in Firefox, so we could count CVEs in Firefox attributable to Rust. I agree this is annoying, but someone should do this. I

Well, LLVM being written in C++ is fine for memory safety, but let's not kid ourselves. If LLVM were written in Rust it would have function level parallel compilation already. LLVM compilation is not parallelized yet because it is writ

Looking back, Rust 1.0 was unpolished, but was ready to be 1.0. Rust concentrated on ability to make compatibility commitment, and almost all polishing was postponed. Compatibility commitment stood the test of time. For example, in Rust 1.0
