What value? I doubt any LLM player is making any profit. Sure, NVIDIA is, but that's because "in a gold rush, sell shovels" is an eternal advice.

Highlighted countries in the chart is US and Japan and US is working more hours than Japan. Since TSMC is happy to build factories in Japan, it should be happy to build factories in US, working hours wise.

Fabs still stop when there is an earthquake and it is expensive. Being earthquake resistant means extremely expensive equipments don't break when there is an earthquake, it doesn't mean there is no interruption.

The article is about iron smelting without CO2. The question is about iron mining without CO2.

The article mentions it's 1:1. > The Oregon group's setup generates essentially as much chlorine gas as it does iron, notes Iryna Zenyuk, a chemical engineer at the University of California, Irvine.

Servo was about parallelism. Mozilla tried multiple times to parallelize CSS style calculation in Gecko which is written in C++, and failed all of them. When they tried again in Servo with Rust, they succeeded first time. They integrated Ru

All these "research" are so deeply confused about what GPT is. GPT is an actor acting a persona, not a persona. An actor acts whatever political orientation the role has, they don't act their own political orientation. These

As written in the post, it is a base model with light instruction tuning, i.e. Llama2, not Llama2-chat. You should evaluate it as a base model. If you evaluate it as a chat model, of course it will perform horribly.

https://arxiv.org/abs/2306.06688 studied this. (Check out figure 3.) In short, yes, multilingual transfer does happen. But importantly, not at 7B. Being English-centric is possibly okay for LLaMA 70B, but it really is

I agree that on balance, we should spend more effort on data than modeling, but it is just not true that modeling doesn't matter. Transformer-2023 is different from Trnasformer-2020 and cumulative improvement is significant. https:&#x
