Could leave to massive impersonation attempts. All the folks here on HN are probably very tech savvy, so we’ll likely have a strong password + 2FA. But mom and pops that just got their email addresses leaked? Probably not. So they might sta

They rebranded but the pricing and packaging options are still stupid and poorly segmenting the product. Basically, there's still a different (and higher) price to get email or not. On top of that, Grammarly's 3 products (Coda, Go

Nice, congrats! Off-topic, you guys are based in Berlin? I just recently moved in. Any recommendation for meetups or groups pro AI/startups?

This one was also pretty bad: https://x.com/jason/status/1968496622884495847?s=46&t=9d1Ha4... I think there’s some respect to give cause they’re doing it live and non-scripted.

Off topic: where did you get the name from? There's a town Clavier (Claviere in French) in the Italian/French alps.

In some countries, access to drinking potable water is a privilege. Imagine "labour laws".

You're all answering from a very privileged standpoint. I started my career in tech from a small town in Argentina. When broadband was prevalent around the world (2012) I was still working with a dial up connection on a $200 computer.

This is amazing news! Two questions for you: - how’s the environment? Build tools, dependency management, etc. it used to be a PitA back then. - how has the typing system and generics evolved to support this? Have they introduced any type o

I think the "frugality" has been challenged by several sources, right? Nobody can prove if they were so inexpensive as they claimed.

The potential is there, we haven't made it yet. It's the same with AI, AGI and all that. Imagine if you'd read a response from GPT-2 back in 2019, you'd also be like "and these are the same models that will eventual

It's obvious this was going to happen. If you ever used any cloud AI model without acknowledging that at some point your data might be leaked (in one way or another) it's on you, not on them. As some other user put it: "big c

I’ve been in software for 20 years and it’s the first time I hear “back pressure”. Am I too old already?

I don't know much about guns so maybe can help me understand. How is it possible that a holstered gun has pressure in the trigger in the first place? And also, shouldn't the safety always be on?

> the load on my server is reduced isn't this the opposite? Enabling compression will INCREASE the load on your server as you need more CPU to compress/decompress the data.

I think this is way too far. For me personally, the threshold to put the logo is someone within the company is paying, even though the whole company is not in a contract. For example, you might not have a full fledged contract with Google,

Not my product, but I think "offline" means no-cloud. You keep track of your API calls / definitions in your local filesystem/Git server without storing it in someone else's server.

I think the rule of thumb should be to ALWAYS start with Cookies for client/server authentication, with all the security features enabled by default. HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite. Then, if that has some sort of limitation for your app

When it mentions that your password has been leaked for a service, is this the plain text pwd (that service somehow stored that way) or is it a hash? Was the website salting the passwords (so no rainbow-table attack could happen)? What key
