The soft plastic casing definitely cracks easily. On the other hand it does not fail catastrophically. I have dropped my Nexus 5 on the floor more times than I can count and while it has miniature cracks around the button/power connect

This looks about as big as my college dorm. Not exactly comfortable (given the fact that I work with hardware and have lab setup here) but also not the end of the world. If I only needed a computer, I would actually have shit ton of space.

The analysis part of engineering is, thanks to modern computers, practically "done". However, we are still not able to do synthesis well. We also have exact mathematical models for that, but it usually amounts to NP-hard problems

Is EE actually the correct field to study for formal verification? I have been looking into this at one point and it seemed very much within the realm of computer scientists. For instance, our EE study program does not include even basic co

I am an EE and our complex analysis class definitely did define complex numbers "rigorously" (in the usual R^2 with multiplication -> wow, it's a field way, none of the fancy algebraic closure stuff). However, later I spok

This is effectively what Czech STEM universities do. The supply is way bigger than the demand and as such getting even to the "top" study program is trivial. Not sure it's very effective seeing the 60%+ failure rates in the f

I've had similar issues. Network outages, server power cycles taking forever etc. The only good thing Scaleway is for is hosting Tor exits, which they don't seem to mind. To add to the network stack comment - they assign _single_

Are you being hyperbolic or do you actually think that the current (or at any point in the next few hundred years) genetic modification technology is capable of doing anything close to transforming humans to "fly-hybrid creature"?

If you are using (two) DHCP servers in "proxy" mode as suggested in the official tutorial, it indeed is extremely unreliable. I think the firmware just does not accept the PXE-containing response if it arrives second or something.

Note that the Raspberry Pi can boot over PXE without an SD card these days, which should make for a much more reliable setup.

Wasn't some sort of engineering-grade complex analysis part of your EE (undergraduate?) curriculum? I am sort of surprised Euler's formula would be a "secret weapon" in EE classes.
