It's probably not a flaky USB cable. Androids charging limit of 80% includes a policy to charge 100% every 14 days to recalibrate the battery controller. A possibility to limit charging to ~65% does not exist per se but you can measure

Sounds awesome. What happens if you cleanup the source by deleting oldest snapshots? Is it able to replicate this, too?

Since I opted out of Google via GrapheneOS, I use one of my old phones in my car just to navigate. Another phone is an audiobook listening device for my kids (they choose and I play). Of course I also have a dedicated dev phone.

Absolutely - I know that but thanks for pointing that out again. There is no real "use case" for NOT storing the key into a root owned file. However, as I don't do it for myself there is no way of accidentally deleting the fi

Long time Linux Desktop user here. I really think Linux is a great choice as a Desktop in days of liquid glass and webviews. There are a lot of choices to make, but in the end it is working out really well (at least for me). KDE and the new

Try dra[1] and a simple shell script in your dotfiles that installs / updates everything in $HOME/bin along with extending the $PATH. Works great for most of my tools (exa, zoxide, bat, jq, etc). 1: https://githu

I bet that somehow you can make ImgBurn (the successor) include the old features (e.g. by setting a hidden key in the environment variables or something). If not, the code was probably patched out in the build process...

I did some research in dumping damaged dvds lately because I had some little treasures laying around that were just unusable. I had good success using DVD Decrypter (hardly available, I got my copy years ago) ignoring bad sectors in the set

Thank you for the nice (and still short) article - I really liked it. However, while these rules apply for web pages, I would like to... let's say warn all developers expecting CSS is a good option for accurate printing. It may work fo

Cool, i wish i had the skills. I'm planning to learn PCB design to build a low power low cost PCB based in the SG2002/LicheeRV Nano design with a MAX17043 battery gauge, gpio buttons and a battery controller like TP4057. Let me kn

My personal take is that most Android devices no longer get updates pretty soon after the release (where pretty soon means 2-3 years). Google promises 7 years of support for their newer devices, but most vendors don't. LineageOS is, be
