Interesting, the main thing i take away from what pg said is there's a need for more YC clones. Clones that can handle the talent that YC can not accommodate

This is the kinda research that walmart bases their whole business on. If you even notice that every item in walmart is 12.37, 17.46 or something to that effect. That gives people that impression that the price is set as low as possible. wh

I agree 100%. The things animals do in the wild are much more fascinating especially when you consider techniques that humans do not grasp. The video is interesting but misleading. I would highly doubt that the elephant has a clue as to wha

I've been doing some research into bio-deasel production. It's very neat stuff. non-software companies require a lot more capital, So you won't see many first time entrepreneurs in those fields.

The things that usually bring down startups tend to be team related. Even though having a good idea is important it's not as critical. By focusing on the team YC is attempting to combat what is most likely to hinder success.

The main issue, the same problem you would have if every bank could print their own money. If any site could issue karma and Karma was accepted at many sites and redeemable to goods you would habe a major problem with the value of karma. Un

So,i would assume that you would rather have us assigning superficial jobs to employees just to give the impression of a healthy economy. It's that kinda of think that i believe will render America unable to compete globally and ultimately

4 million in sales is not what they are making. If that number is true, then they are grossing somewhere in the $150K range a month. Still not a bad figure for such a small operation.

If i was my startup, i would pay salary. You get so much more bang for your buck out of your users. Startups work day and night, that would cost too much at an hourly rate.
