The idea of tons of 3rd-party plugins, with WordPress and also Drupal, is just disastrous for security. Anyone with any ability to write a little PHP would be far far better off building their site in a CMS like ProcessWire [1], which has a

The slightly less rugged, but also less heavy, "Latitude 5430 Rugged" (-Extreme) looks seriously interesting.

I have been way less than happy with my plain 4yo Latitude 7490, although rumor says Dells should be pretty durable: - The battery got swollen and destroyed the clips in the underneath cover when it pushed it off. - Have had to replace both

I see no mention of Asus ExpertBook B9, which is the one that looks most interesting to me as a next work laptop, due to: - Very low weight (around 1kg) - Claimed extreme durability, to military standard - Options for 32 GB memory I sometim

DevDocs ( https://devdocs.io ) is a great interface to the existing (content-wise wholly OK) Python docs.

Being able to just cd into a project folder, doing 'poetry shell' (I have it alised to 'psh'), and start developing, is so convenient.

My solution to the docs problem (which the OP describes well btw... The problem is how everything is on miles long pages), is to use: https://devdocs.io It does excellent fuzzy search-as-you-type, and is typically a pinned tab i

Tried tons of ways, and finally found peace of mind with poetry: https://python-poetry.org/ It encourages to set up project specific definitions which are saved in the local pyproject.toml file. Keeping everything local and

Have had a look at both Borg and Restic, but even Restic which is supposed to be faster iirc, was extremely slow on my computer. Been much more happy with my tries with https://kopia.io which also includes an optional cross-plat

Nice! I like the default aesthetics! Btw, is there a succinct comparison to GraphViz? GraphViz is perheps a little tedious to write, and takes some work to make look good (which makes me appreciate the D2 style), but is also definitely poss

I think people can go on playing e.g. the piano on a very high skill level up to quite the age, so I wouldn't say it is that simple or definite.

I have experienced similar issues before, where a lot of discomfort etc vanish with more physical exercise. For me that would be mostly push ups, pull ups, daily bike commuting etc. I increased that a lot a few years back when I started bik
