The best news that could come out of this deal would be better Linux support for T1/2/2+ and Thumper hardware. Awesome hardware but I can hardly justify building expertise and support infrastructure for Solaris just to run it.

How can the service provider point senthil.com to the subdomain? Can't without domain ownership. Either they act as a domain reistrar or they provide instructions to create a cname record.

have not run not such a site myself, so take this with a grain of salt. I assume that most use a database-backed DNS server like MyDNS, so adding/removing/etc subdomains is a simple db call.

Apple is just absurdly, incredibly far ahead of every other pc manufacturer out there. They'll come to market with "green" laptops just when "green" is meaningful to consumers, make a huge splash about it and get an amazing amount of free p

Someone has to mention Cornell. The undergrad community is intensely entrepreneurial, the CS department is top notch and you won't find nearly as many a-holes as at Harvard (half serious).
