I'm guessing the reason the model is listed as "preview" is so that they have this leeway to tweak it and optimize it as needed, for example in terms of the balance between performance/cost and capability which seems to

I absolutely adore this machine. Even the little LED lamp in the lid. I use Mac computers for my day job and real life stuff. But when it comes to machines for hobby/linux/hacking around this is still my go-to. It's an amazin

I’ve found that the behavior of ChatGPT can vary widely from session to session. The recent information about GPT4 being a “mixture of experts” might also be relevant. Do we know that it wouldn’t have varied in its answer by just as much, i

That’s awesome! I can’t claim to have quite connected the dots, but it caught my eye right away and completely vibed. Great work breaking it down and writing it up so nicely!

When I saw that some of the glue code is in C#, I was momentarily excited to learn more about compiling C# to be able to run on DOS.

If you literally mean K&R C, hard to imagine. If you mean K&R C as a shorthand for “plain old C” then there’s a lot of it going on everywhere. Embedded and industry especially.

Apps that use the newer PHPickerViewController cannot do this. The user doesn't need to authorize any photo access, rather the photo picker runs out of process and the app only has access to photos that are passed to it from the PHPick

In general, the vast majority of UI elements are labeled with text instead of pictures, and have been for a long time. (Other issues with UI notwithstanding.)
