You have gotten the history here dead wrong: > The techno scene originated in Germany, reached the UK, and it was later associated with the Chicago & Detroit EDM scene in America. Techno was invented in Detroit, house music in Chic

It seems you have no understanding at all of the goals of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists . It's worth reading up on.

That was a hypothetical, not a claim. Unless you want to argue that Putin is immortal, he'll die of something. Unless that something is very sudden (possible) it will be fairly described as a terminal illness.

Japan also has 7-11s, they're in fact the largest brand of konbini. GP was clearly saying that 7-11 in the US is only junk food, and Japanese konbinis offer food comparable to that of specialty gas stations like Buc-ees. Which I consid

I seem to recall at some point that that old Twitter banned the account of the sitting President of the United States. Later, Twitter banned a comedy account, the Babylon Bee. That pissed Elon off enough to buy it. Both are back on Twitter

Yes this is correct. Maybe in 50 years Mexicans will be honest and Europeans will be corrupt. I don't think anyone honestly thinks that corruption is inherent to anyone's genetics. But today? It's simply the case.

Those mean different things. f(.{}) is calling a function, which takes a struct, using an in-place constructor which provides the default arguments for the necessary struct type. f({}) is passing an instance of `void` to a function with a `

One will quickly become accustomed to the .{} pattern learning Zig. It's used for struct constructors: const a_struct: StructType = .{ .foo = "baz"}; As well as union initialization. So .{} is a struct constructor f

Well yes, but if it's someone else's library, realistically you're not going to change it. Zig is a static language without variadic parameters, so you can't make it optional in that sense. You could make the options a `

For the same reason you can't pass a Python function expecting a list an empty list with foo(), you have to use foo([]). They mean different things.

Pascal enums are not sum types, because they are not the sum of multiple types. They are an enumeration of discrete values, which is why they're called enums. Sum types in Pascal are called variant records: type FooKind = (Fo
