I star everything I find interesting so I may find it later, but in reality I did this maybe a handful of times which makes my stars ~99% meaningless. Not saying everyone does this, but I doubt my behaviour is rare and I wouldn't read

It might make sense to temper your eagerness as you will be waiting for a very very very long time ;)

So parasite middleman is for you a company that enables you to find those hotels in the first place? Do you find all middleman parasitic or is there something else booking should do to stop being in this group?

As Wikipedia says: "Alan Jacobs is a scholar of English literature, writer, and literary critic." He has more than a passing interest in technology as I do in literature, but I think his lack of web optimisation skills or interest

So? You can't undelete files that were not backed up either. Some mistakes are reversible while others aren't.

No, I don't. It is certainly possible to become competent web developer over whole stack as long as you don't expect to be proficient in every currently popular framework out there. Pick a set of tools, learn them well and move la

To be honest I didn't see donations box nearby, but I would not bet on not being there either. If there was, I would certainly put coins there.

Years ago I collected all change for 6 months without spending any. Afterwards I counted all to see how much of each type of coin I have collected during this time. The idea was to see if it is worth bothering collecting all coins or is the

No, it qualifies you as Lange & Söhne watch owner. We don't know if he bought it himself or why he did it. Not every Porsche owner is a petrolhead either. Having said this, I am not disputing that he is a watch guy. I believe he is

Free software might collapse, but open source certainly would not especially since so much of it is under MIT and similar licenses which already allow anyone to do pretty much whatever with that code.

It would be if it was one way only. In practice users from all telcos roam on other networks, negating large bits of this exchange. Real price per user is much lower.

Charge still is regulated to 7.7EUR per GB, but that is not its cost. Cost is indeed negligible as data is mostly transferred on exactly the same networks as the rest of Internet traffic in EU and nobody sane argues that you should pay 7 EU

It doesn't work like this. Your EU guaranteed roaming mobile data package is limited to 2*monthly bill/wholesale-price-per-GB. So in your case that looks like 40/7.7 which is about 5GB. Anything beyond that your telco CAN cha

No, it's you. I'm 43 and while I don't see myself as particularly nostalgic either, I have plenty of colleagues who are. I have no idea how we compare to general population.

There's a difference of category between your and parents example. Editors and IDEs will not make your code crash when it is deployed no matter how flaky or not they are. Databases on the other hand can. I wouldn't imagine it bein
