There are definitely some oddities in HCL. Regarding the dynamic blocks, it gets weirder. If you have a dynamic block inside of a resource that is using for_each, you can still reference the 'each' value alongside the value that t

The senior engineer on my past team was also this way. He had strong domain expertise, but he was definitely not the best technically. But his greatest gift was his ability to bring everybody together and be a strong mentor the junior engin

I also have problems with 5700XT. I can't play some games without putting them at very low quality, although the specs of my machine are well within the recommended range. My computer randomly restarts if I am not at low settings. I ha

I love Ansible, but I'm waiting for the day that reproducible builds are part of most distributions. Nix is paving the way, and it seems like the rest are following. Then maybe the need for these configuration management tools will les

I have been looking for something exactly like this. Your origin story is very apt: there really isn't an approachable cross-platform solution for noobs like me. Will definitely be checking this out. Thank you for sharing.

I have been in a deep rabbithole with Nix lately. It seems almost too good to be true. Declarative configuration, and with NixOps, declarative provisioning as well. Along with the other tools in the ecosystem, there is quite some overlap wi

I would agree with you IF you take traditional view of 'balance' in the way that LoL and other simpler games do. I would call that ideal a 'symmetric' balance, where they want each element in its category to be compared

Disclaimer: I am a DotA fan/nerd and am a huge fan of its design vs LoL's. I applaud Riot for this, but I think they're specialty and reason for their huge growth is more to do with outreach, as jimbob45 noted. For a company
