It's a pretty good practice in MVC. I don't work with Rails, but in ASP.NET MVC, i put controller logic behind IBusinessTask generic interface which defines a type for input and output of its single `Execute` method. Any implementation of t

So, let me get this straight. A typical YouTube channel can have its video suspended if it violates the "viewcount policy." However, when a not so typical YouTube channel owned by Universal or Sony, who are responsible for sending out DMCA

From what i read elsewhere, the message delivery is free. However, if you recipient is not a friend, you message will end up in their "Other" folder. By paying $1, you'll land in their inbox.

This looks like CQRS. Very useful pattern where you need to playback transactions or events for any completed unit of work.

This is exactly what i was thinking. Had Instagram been on its own, there wouldn't have been such an uproar. This is nothing but Facebook at work.

I find the use of "still" rather humorous. Still? Like there was a grand expectation of the quality of education to all of a sudden get better. What have we done to improve this? Nothing.
