Okay, I see what you mean. TBH, 1. for blogging, the proof is the PretzekBox blog itself - I write all my posts in Gmail and email it in. 2. for email, the photo you see on the main landing page is of my PretzelBox for one of my domains 3.

(Post author and HN submitter here) I'm a little confused - did you mean the linked blog post has stock photos and looks like a PR nightmare? If so, maybe I'm just a little biased here but the blog/website looks pretty nice,

PretzelBox.cc (my project) does this along with a blog, a file storage area, and hosting. Final pricing is still TBD but if you join the beta list, we are handing out huge discounts which’ll bring your effective cost between $5-15/mont

Such a shortsighted view of the action taken! A) if more people make a fuss about their email getting sold the way OP did, we can still salvage something out of the situation B) results/outcomes are not the only reason people why shoul

For some reason, it didn’t even occur to me that you meant literal indigenous tribes. Tbh, I was a little put off by the word ‘natives’ because I thought you were referring to non tribal, present day individuals as natives. But I think ther

I think you’re trying to recreate the semantics of Promise.all without using Promise.all. You’re effectively saying that Promises are a better async programming paradigm than async/await…which is also what the author is saying in the a

I didn’t read the article like that at all. How would you handle two asynchronous saves which can happen in parallel without using a Promise.all? Don’t think you can…and that’s pretty much the entire point of the article. Async/await i

The /blog/ related issues you pointed are now fixed. Thank you! You're right about Moogle. While I was working on building PretzelBox, I had launched just the blogging piece - i.e. post to your blog from Gmal - as a standalon

wouldn't `curl <algolia url> -H 'api key' -H'origin:whitelist-url'` let you use Algolia as if you were ABC if all Algolia does is URL whitelisting?

FWIW, this is literally exactly how my product PretzelBox ( https://pretzelbox.cc ) works. We are looking for beta users, if you care to take it for a spin.

My baby, PretzelBox.cc, is no Google but it does give you an inbox for your domain and a half decent looking blog ( https://pretzelbox.cc/blog/ ) and a way to store and share files. /shameless_plug

Plenty of coworking spaces all over the city and suburbs. They’ll probably work well if you want to spend a day or two working. Found this list of hackerspaces but I’m personally not familiar with any of them. https://wiki.hacker

As a legal alien who used to live in the States, I would avoid any establishment showing the American flag. It just felt like the place would be loudly and proudly nationalistic and as an alien, I would be more welcome elsewhere.
