People are more likely to search Google and read a linked article about the guy than find the linked article just by randomly entering URLs in the browser without selecting anything from the autocomplete drop down.

It's possible they were reported for spam but this is a known neighbourhood grocer so it's more likely that people just exited the group and forgot about it.

If you have smtp on your domain, gmail lets you add an smtp account to send email as anyone on your domain. The easiest way I know to have smtp for your domain is AWS SES.
