I didn't read this article as hate at all, FWIW. It was a pretty measured review of what it is and what it isn't with some much clearer diagrams of the mental models.

Not sure formidable founders getting whatever they want whatever the obstacle (sure market obstacles but what about laws, morality, etc) is a good thing to be honest. Sometimes folks need to be stopped. Sometimes those walls are there for a

Not a doctor or anything, but API usage seems to support the more on-demand / spiky workflows available at a much larger scale, whereas a single seat, authenticated to Claude Code has controlled / set capacity and is generally mor

Might be easier for them to just pay for the mirrors and do an on-site copy and move the data in a container? That way they would provide some more value back to the community as a mirror?

I also love hosting - but what I’m really trying to do is have particles collide and form bonds outside the larger events. Even smaller scale gatherings, game nights, or hell even a couples dinner invite would be a nice change of pace.

Absolutely. I throw “open houses” with open hours. There will be some food and company and some booze. Probably music. But in the end everyone brings what they can and it rules. Granted it’s still a lot of effort but it’s low key and I find

Not a doctor or anything, but what happens if you check your assumptions about someone's actions being hollow or making it about them and consider that they actually want to support you and show you love or empathy as a possibility? Re

In my experience, the problem is not a low success rate, but the burnout from being the only person that invites people to do things. At a certain point you want to see some reciprocation to create community. It can definitely happen, but a

It seems like a tautology that high performers are turning down positions when 996 is mentioned. Who on EARTH would opt in to a system like that imposed by your management? (Barring the obvious compensation-related encouragement)

Are they going to subsidize real food also? Maybe help get people access to it? Or just talk about how good it is while they let people subsist on the most calories they can get for their dollar? Also - great... another website as "gov

This works well if your company culture doesn’t abhor an IC or manager trying to push for improvements in places that are not their responsibility. Unfortunately there are a lot of places that do dislike this - and it may result in you gett

You don’t have time to do those things if you are poor and working 2-3 jobs. Properly budgeting and analyzing costs takes a lot of time, and unexpected expenses and cost of living increases destroy your budget a lot more than McDonald’s.

Wouldn’t smart TVs that didn’t spy on you also be awesome? Seems like a knowledge gap to me. This gets solved as soon as people realize what’s happening. Right now they don’t realize TVs are cheap because of the ad subsidy.

Do you have a nice 65” OLED monitor option with solid display settings supporting Dolby modes, etc I can examine? I tried to find one and nobody is selling.

For now maybe? Consumer protections are at an all time low at the moment. Your exact argument about “we all know this just nobody cares and stop whining” is exactly what will be cited if you attempt to take action if they brick your device.

Pretty sure that’s why this lawsuit will have some legs - the deceptive way folks are opted in without really understanding what is happening. I’m shocked to be agreeing with Ken Paxton but he’s right on this one.

The one wrinkle this might have is that it incentivizes the agent developer to over-resolve or “over outcome” to ensure they hit targets. This is risking the end customer experience for your Agent buyer, which might not be worth the risk to
