He only has that power because Congress is allowing him to abuse "emergency" powers. Authority to set taxes lies with Congress.

96% acceptance rate for black candidates with high MCAT scores, but a nonzero acceptance rate for white candidates with low scores. Maybe there are other factors, and they're correlated with the buckets being used here?

I know right? Black applicants with high MCAT scores were rejected in favor of white applicants with low MCAT scores! Just unbelievable.

So do you think that if the acceptance rate for high MCAT and GPA are below 100%, then the other bars should be zero? i.e, these are the only admissions criteria that should be considered?

You realize that heat pumps are just ACs that can just run in reverse? Most American households already have central air. They'd just swap to a reversible AC ("heat pump") when they need to replace their AC. Mini-splits are c

I guess backwards incompatible changes to the protocol? But yeah, don't do that if you're using protobuf; it's intentionally not robust to it.

Is it actually, in practical applications? Just firing up the JVM can take seconds, while Go is often used for CLI programs that only run for milliseconds.

Just starting up the trivial Spring application I work on takes multiple seconds. Firing up other services for an integration test can take 30+ seconds. It's ridiculous. The latency makes integration testing unnecessarily tedious. Don&

Even at a COP of 2, a heat pump powered by a 60% efficient gas power plant will use less gas at the power plant than gas heat.

You realize that heat pumps also cool, right? They're just ACs that can also work in reverse.

Breaking a problem down to the extent you are describing should only have to be done for fresh grads IMO. LLMs are indeed better at tasks broken down to this degree in my experience. I'd expect more senior engineers to handle increasin

You get long ugly URLs. The system in work on often has 4-5 of these IDs in the URL, making working with them -- like copying and pasting them, or even extracting the particular id you care about from the path -- cumbersome.
