I've never heard abour rear-facing seats being safer befofe. What makes it safer? Do you have any references? It sounds interesting. Is it because if you crash, your back absorbs the impact better?

This looks very interesting! However, not being an expert on FHE, is there a way to leverage this on current RDBMS systems for example? It says the library can evaluate binary gates. If we would like to run a SQL query for example, how do w

No idea. I guess you would need to contact the creators. It would be really great if the community could improve on the tagging accuracy.

I agree with you in that mass media has been, willingly or otherwise, distorting the truth(s), but the easier and cheaper it is to "create fake information" the higher the verification bar for the public. Right now, faking an inte

How is this information useful for LinkedIn? Every user fingerprint is worth something I guess, but up the point of trying to detect extensions? Not sure what kind of value could that give them. Anyone has any idea? perhaps try to determine

At first I was also fearful of people using this tech to make fake "evidence" of things... But now that I think about it, the most damage will come from making people even more incredulous... of everything. It will become even har

Not long ago someone posted this: http://www.taggernews.com/ I'm not affiliated, just find it useful. IIRC articles are tagged using machine learning.

Somewhat related, does anyone use Moxie's knocknock [0] or a similar procedure to secure ports? Since I learned about it I thought it was a very interesting idea. Even tried it out a couple of times but not sure if anyone else is using

So what's exactly the use case for this? I'm not entirely sure. Let's say I deploy it. Users of whatever service I provide use this to login to Google, Twitter, etc, then what? do I need to also implement something on the ser

Does it keep everything local? I couldn't find anything on the FAQ and I remember a similar tool posted here on HN and people complained that it called home for some search functionality.

Maybe it's not perfect for everyone. I, for one, do like the idea of tagging stuff, since I might favorite a lot of stories but then years later it's hard to find a particular one, even if you do remember the general topic. Tags f
