No, the main thing to take away is that MartyPC is the only emulator that can accurately run this demo. Before that, the demo would only run on real hardware.

These videos have been incredibly relaxing to watch. I first discovered them when my newborn would wake up in the middle of the night and I'd watch those videos, half asleep, with her slowly dozing off on top of me. Excellent stuff.

Exactly. AFAICT this will be optimized at the JVM level though, so once you've initialized the constant the JIT compiler can take full advantage of that fact.

Handwavy explanation: A stable value is used as a static constant, with the difference being that you can initialize it at runtime. Once initialized it is treated as fully constant by the JVM. It's similar to something like lateinit in
