I guess to take this one step further, if these extensions become ad platforms by themselves and replace ads that facebook puts in your feed w/ their own ads, what would happen? uBlock origin (basic) - blocks facebook tracking, does no

Curious - how do people who work cash jobs handle this or if your system flags them. I pay our cleaner say $100 in cash. Pretty sure they don't report that to the IRS or pay taxes on it. What happens if they deposit say 2-3k / mo

All the international signaling so far is that they're not willing to do anything about Chinese domestic issues. Other than a critical word (often not even that) at the UN, what have the EU / Russia / SE Asia / Arab stat

What does that mean concretely? Will earnings reports still be quarterly? I guess I'm trying to figure out why the exchange has to do anything here. There's plenty of investors and companies that think long term with BRK and its

Crux of it seems to be: > It asks a lot of the player, and takes a while to work it out. You have to play it once in order to understand what's going on. You have to be willing to spend time with it, and that’s not where most gamers

You just happen to agree with this one, so you find reasons to justify it like "exercising judgement". What if they exclude a company because of political ties to communist regimes? Or ESG concerns? To me neither of these is accep

Am I the only one that thinks this is fundamentally unfair? What's the point of having inclusion guidelines if you can just change them willy nilly to suit your own agenda? We need a more algorithmic index, not one ruled by one central

I think it might be a mix of job categories, not just SWE. Still lower than what I'd expect. https://www.levels.fyi/# exists but might be inflated a bit.

It's a fair point, not sure why there are downvotes. I still think it's extremely likely that the official numbers are bogus but you can't really accept the Telegram numbers as truth either.

Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent :) Imagine we're in '98 - you won't be right until '01. That's some super long dated puts. Easier to BTFD.

Ultimately price and (some tenuous definition of) value can diverge in the short term but over the long run they _will_ converge. Apple's in a short term bubble. That's not to say they aren't a great company in the long term
