These days i cant recommend Windows to anybody. Even gamers should move to linux. Some say "i do nothing illegal" "have nothing to hide". You dont do anything illegal in your point of view. AI tracking you might think ot

I still use my Kobo Glo. I must been working at least 10 years now. I have finished countless books on it. I like that is a durable single use device. I wouldnt use it as general use computer at all. Even my old kobo has experimental featu

this is a question whole software industry is trying to solve. "how can we make sense of the ai generated codebase" what you did is spec-driven development, instead of use-cases and requirements you have pseudo-code. spec-driven d

Public sentiment about AI is trending down. All about trying to turn that slope to a positive number.

i don't get why they are investing money on image/video gen. All generations i have see looked blurry, lacking in fine details and missing the artistic touch (lacks meaning? lifeless?)

This part fires me up to create art for arts sake: Kodama: That’s also partly why this development was a lot of fun, I think: we (the developers) started the project on our own initiative, and many people on the team had worked on PSII and

Crashes too frequently for me. Needs a reboot to fix only to be crashed again few hours later. I never found a solution; likely related to docker/podman being memory hungry. Port handling requires constant Powershell maintenance too.

AWS has been the backbone of the internet. It is single point of failure most websites. Other hosting services like Vercel, package managers like npm, even the docker registeries are down because of it.

I fear for the variety in the internet coding culture. Significant portion of code is being written by ai, all looks the same, all has the same mediocre quality. Even the github page descriptions are generated with ai, overflowing with emo

I also agree with this. While the ai has less context, you have more context using the limited chat window. You know what you need from the ai.

Claude 3.5 was released 1 year ago. Current LLMs are not much better at coding than it. Sure they are more shiny and well polished, but not much better at all. I think it is time to curb our enthusiasm. I almost always rewrite AI written fu
