Um, no. A précis is a summary. Also, we all have Google to look up words we don't know.

Heh, that'd probably be worth in the neighborhood of $500K given how many openings there are for Rubyists in the Boston/Cambridge area.

Meta comment: it's kind of awesome to see more umich.edu links on HN lately. Would there be interest in an Ann Arbor meetup, say early May, after Funded by Night?

It's still pay to pitch. We had this fight on HN last year too. They're good people with good motivations, but it's still pay to pitch and, as a result, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Good people can be corrupted by bad influences over time. The douchebaggery on HN is at all-time highs and good people are being sucked in. I've got enough karma to spare that I'm happy to be downvoted to oblivion on this, but it's really

I don't think this is fair. MetroPCS has their own towers and is a pretty robust national carrier. Leap/Cricket also has a pretty broad footprint.

It's obvious that building an API is easier than 1) building and shipping physical devices that work well enough to qualify for card present transactions and 2) obviating the need for a merchant account (only PayPal really gets you there, a
