The reason Jordan will always be better than Kobe, according to Phil Jackson: Jordan's hands are insanely large and allow him to do things later than Kobe because he can grip the ball at any position.

http://www.dawdle.com - it's an online marketplace platform. Until we get funding, we'll just play in our current video games, systems, and accessories niche. But we know exactly what happens with cash. It'd be fun to try.

Lookit, I run an ostensible eBay competitor. I'm very pro-eBay. (Really. It's not hard to be.) But this article is insane, and that's by the Barron's hot stock article standards. Everyone knows that marketplaces - AT SCALE - are perfect

But not only do you have to like the other people, you have to like their side projects, since everyone shares until ramen profitability. But most "side project" ideas are terrible. It seems to me that you'd end up with a bunch of megalom

I agree that there's a ton of value there - but I've been involved in projects where the "suits" want to do all sorts of bullshit AdWords/Facebook Ad tests, surveys, storytelling, and God knows what. For fuck's sake, you have a vision. Act

I've always been of the opinion that you need a very strong auteur at the head of a company driving product to make something awesome. Tivo, Sling, Flip, Apple, and others are clearly true to themselves and not full of compromise. Postero

Oh, for fuck's sake. The FCC said why they wanted this information. They wanted this information as part of its examination of net neutrality and exclusive phones. The FCC doesn't even look at collusion and antitrust - the FTC does. The

PaySimple is a pretty good solution. Remember, in most states, you have to have payroll to qualify for group insurance (which is generally cheaper - and almost always safer from recission - than purchasing individual insurance).

I will say this: they do things right. I added Dawdle as a site, and Dawdle search just did a site search on Dawdle for the search terms and kicked out Yahoo search results as good as Google's for each and every term I could think of. Now

No, it's campaign contributions. Lobbyists are paid to ostensibly lobby. Of course, a part of lobbying is donating to various candidates and PACs.

Not to be mean, but that's like saying "Since Obama was elected president, racism is no more." You can't point to exception cases and be like "all done". You have to look at things in aggregate and at the trend lines. And those things sh

Yeah, I'd like to see them get a cadaver and prove that their robots don't feast on the dead. I don't trust a corporation farther than I can throw it. And I can only throw a dead body about four feet.

The article was over-the-top in its conspiracy theory, but Tiabbi was certainly directionally correct. His follow-up after Goldman's earnings is much more in line with the actual facts: http://trueslant.com/matttaibbi/2009/07/16/on-goldman
