The issue here is the futile attempt to tease apart power and money. Those with power, seek to acquire money for when they lose power. Those with money, seek to acquire power for when they lose money. If consultants at large firms are prohi

It is so much easier being an engineer than being responsible for engineering direction. The first group is afforded the "ask for forgiveness not permission" mantra, while the latter is left with "fall on the sword". Thi

If there was a dataset that solved a problem sufficiently (perception, self driving, whatever), there would be no more need for any study of that field (other than for marginal improvements). Once solved, these no longer are research areas.

NFTs are silly unless the have a redeeming value. Today, folks think that this is purely monetary (trade me for more money because it's like the gold rush). However, there are valid applications as long as the bearer is entitled to &qu

This is, and has been the cost for early-adoption in practically all successful inventions / products. The reward was the fact that something you did had permanence in a way that allowed others who knew how to see or interact with &quo

Thanks for the therapeutic insight stranger. I guess enabling a bad thing is not a crime and never has been. First they sugared up our drinks and food, now they are sugaring-up our day-to-day. Maybe I am just cranky. Time to start the #IEat

But when someone clicks on a link from a mobile browser and nothing happens - it leaves the viewer with the impression that things are broken when in reality the exposed use case was just not considered (or not deemed important). This also

We get better and better at building pattern matchers that carefully oscillate between overfit and under-parametrized. Funny how we spend so much time and effort to mimic something that grows free by the billions :)

Usually, the `interface{}` is named something like `Xer` to denote an interface which satisfies `X`. So - `Dialer` would be the interface and any struct is free to implement the `Dialer` methods to qualify as one (for example). Presumably r

There is nothing wrong with a well documented interface. The `is-a` pattern and `has-a` pattern are all I have ever needed when composing "objects" in golang.
