I don’t really understand your comment. Personally I thought this was an interesting read - and more interesting because it didn’t contain any massive “WE DID THIS AND IT CHANGED PUR LIVES!!!” style revelations. It is discursive, thoughtful

Agree, my first thought was “an invoicing platform that has had problems sounds like something I want to avoid…” And even though it’s about the rough year you’ve had from a personal perspective it highlights the fact that you are a sole dev

How worried are you about being sued? Seems like your training data probably includes quite a bit of copyright protected stuff. Just listened to the “blue scoobie doo” example and the influences are fairly obvious. With record companies get

Yes - but until they bumped to £10.99 recently they hadn’t increased the price at all. Inflation adjusted from launch the single user premium price should be about £17.99 I think.

After they broke the fear of prove roses I think we will see relatively speedy jumps up as Spotify in particular tries to adjust pricing to be on par with what it would have been if it had been adjusted for inflation since launch. What will

You personally don’t know anyone who obviously discloses that they have a safe. If you have a safe you are keeping something valuable secure. The fewer people know that you have something valuable that needs to be secured the better. If peo

I’ve seen this tweet doing the rounds but it seems strange. The way the text in the email is presented is odd. Why is there a cursor midway through a sentence. Why is it forwarded text? Why is there no sender information? Why is the subject

This is simply untrue. The mafia started outside the US long before prohibition came along. It may have given the mafia an opportunity to accelerate and expand but it certainly did not “literally create” the mafia.

I don’t really understand why this guy’s articles are so popular here. He comes up with some utterly ridiculous statements. And he - deliberately, I think - elides key things to make his point. If that’s not deliberate then he doesn’t have

I have no idea how something like this can even happen. In a company of that size it should be actually impossible for a transaction like this to occur without clearly documented processes to ingest, review, authorise and pay transactions.
