This is cool. I value pageload speed though, so I wouldn't use this myself.

If I had a website that got 14k visits in a month, would I expect to make a living from it? (genuine question. my personal website doesn't get 14k visits a year, let alone a month)

I think it's funny, mainly because I feel like I recognize many of the archetypes among people I know or have met. It's only a slight exaggeration of what it's like here.

As if a Bay Area kid whose parent has a couple extra grand to bid on such dinners is going to be short on advantages in startuplandia. How about a chance for disadvantaged kids to attend a YC dinner?

Congrats on switching. I switched about a year ago and get a lot more delight from my elegant Jekyll setup than a convoluted WP install with thousands of LOC I don't need.

You might want to sanitize the placeholder attribute on the results page - in its current state, it is susceptible to XSS.

Almost certainly. You could probably do this in about twenty lines of PHP, it's just a map of pixels from an image into CSS pseudo-pixels.

I frequently eat chicken and I've tried Beyond Meat. It's very difficult to distinguish from real chicken (unless you char it). It feels juicy, it pulls apart just like real chicken, and the flavour is very similar too. I was really impress

A few bugs: * The links for the very first project on the page are obscured by the ad * Every single project's network and watchers page link to linux * If somebody doesn't have a blog (eg torvalds) their "blog" link goes to "null" * If you

I object to the description of haggis' ingredients as "awful". Unusual perhaps, but "awful" is a little harsh, especially considering how delicious haggis is.

My one UX qualm is that the "Sign in with OpenID" button is the last thing to load on the login/create-an-account page, and there's no alt text so you don't know it's coming until it's there. I doubt I'm the only person who was frustrated a

I got AppleCare on my 1st-gen MacBook Pro for peace of mind. Although I haven't really needed it since I bought it, I don't regret buying it: I didn't have a lot of money at the time, and if something had happened to the MBP I couldn't have
