Oh good point about the lock file, hadn't thought about that. Will there be a compelling reason to rewrite stuff using async/await? I get that it will be the right way going forward but curious about the benefits for legacy stuff.

I use vimwiki. Simple, light-weight, and does exactly what I need. I also use org mode in spacemacs with evil, but so far I haven't come across any functionality in org mode that I needed that vimwiki didn't also provide. https:&

I use it for the same reason I use bash history--to view, edit, and reuse ex commands. I'm not surprised that there is a way to customize evil to get to something similar, but my point was that it doesn't work out of the box the w

I did the exact same thing. That's the same reason I do most dev work in vim as opposed to an IDE too--input lag jerks me out of flow state faster than anything else. Plus, vim emulation modes like evil and vscode vim don't duplic
