Yeah, no. If all they had was marketing, and the products were not actually good, then no one would buy version 2.

The answer is because the automation still costs money, and that, even if creating clothing was completely automated, the materials would still cost money, and as such, they'd still charge for the clothes. And unless you've got a

Really depends on how it comes about. Does it work like Star Trek, or does it work like The Hunger Games?

No, it still applies there. There is absolutely nothing special about a startup than there is for any other small business.

They have the money. How in the hell are they going to "naturally" become obsolete?

Wouldn't the fact that the lower priced stuff is usually junk indicate that what it "should" cost is closer to what Apple charges?

And yet, none of those articles get down to the simple meat of the situation: It's hard to recruit people because companies don't want to pay for them, they don't want to show any loyalty toward them, and they don't want

Presumably in your first email to this guy, you'd say, "Hey, I'm looking for someone to do ASP.Net and Sharepoint." Is it honestly that difficult to say what you're looking for up front? Or are you scared that when

To be perfectly honest, though, the 'standard' way of doing startups is a terrible idea when you're talking about people's savings.

It should go without saying that "be yourself" does not mean be an asshole.

There clearly is, otherwise Google would have been able to update to Java 8 on Android by now.

Are you trying to say that the Java language isn't being used to write Android apps?

I know how it works. Claiming that someone who disagrees with you must not know how something works doesn't exactly prove your point.

They're not stripping anything of it's meaning; they're taking things to their logical conclusion. And there's really no way that you can claim the language used for Android development is not Java.

They're using the Java language. Therefore, something which interprets bytecode coming from it is a java virtual machine. It's that simple.

I'd say that it simply has to execute something coming from Java code. Which both Dalvik and ART do. I think claiming that Dalvik VM and JVM are so different when they both run stuff coming from Java is just trying to split hairs.

You're never going to have a truly cross platform tool set. The UI/UX paradigms are just too different. There are already several solutions for sharing library code for business logic between the platforms, either using C++, or co

I think that's pretty disingenuous. Just because they don't call it Java doesn't mean they don't have a JVM.

To be able to use BTC at merchants who don't want to deal with BTC? Like, buying groceries?

I wouldn't be willing to trust that. Users can be pretty damn stupid. How many times did we see people who were running beta versions of Android and iOS, and give bad reviews to apps that weren't fully supporting it from day one?
