That's an impressive list of games. I don't know how many hours were spent reverse engineering these games. I did a bit of reverse engineering myself on some 3D game worlds. Test Drive 3 [1] and Comanche [2] [1] https://

The article describes WebAssembly at a low level and use the assembly language wast. Therefore, it is still relevant if you want to understand WebAssembly at this level. The specification has not changed in the last 2 years. However the to

Here is the Hello World example for WASI in headerless C using clang. A little bit more code but also more general. https://gist.github.com/s-macke/6dd78c78be46214d418454abb667...

I just created a code snippet in C [1] which prints hello world by using the (bare-metal) WASI interface. No headers included. The compiled wasm file works with wasmer, lucet, wasmtime and an web implementation of WASI [2] [1] https:/

The web worker helps a little bit. You can send data to the UI thread whenever you want. However on the receiving side you have the same problem. The web worker only receives data when it is idle. For example if you want to send key presses

I guess one of the applications of Coroutines could be WebAssembly. When you run WebAssembly on a website which needs 100% of the CPU for more than a few ms, you have to use the "setTimeout(fn, 0)" trick to prevent the "this

Yes, the emulated computer emulates a network device. This sends the Ethernet frames via web sockets to the proxy server. On the proxy server, the frames are written to a TAP device. Then some firewall rules do the rest.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I tried a more theoretical approach to my web emulator. I wrote a little about my approach in the Wiki [1]. Definitely one of my worst hacks :-) . Unfortunately the demo doesn't work anymore

@wjakob has already mentioned a few effects not taken into account in your approximation. You can derive raytracing from first principles, e.g. from the Maxwell-equations or even Quantum electrodynamics. But only with massive approximations

Thank you for this detailed description. I will definitely take a look and read a few chapters about the light transport. Just a remark. When I first read the title, I was interested in the approximations you use because you emphasize physi

I definitely have too many projects to tell you for sure. Just look at the two sites [1] [2] and you know what I mean. I have as many projects in the backlog as you can see on these 2 pages. And actually I don't want to concentrate on

Ok, then the obvious solution is my counterintuitive one. You have to cross where the wind is the strongest at the bottom. As fast as possible of course.

One of the prices is the book "HTML5 Games: Novice to Ninja" [1]. However the best way to learn is to read other code. Look at the js13kgames entries [2]. There are more than 1000 games entries. All with source code. [1] https:&#

You have to fly to the top left. Then fall down. But immediately after you have started falling you need all your thrusters to stay on the line and land safely.

This is great list. Thank you very much. I added most of the games. It is precisely through this post that I have a strong desire to follow your postings,blogs,.... Unfortunately there is no button for that. How did you find these games?
