I disagree. My family's cost of electronics plummeted when I switched all of us to iOS. This is due to longer device lifetime and fewer broken devices. Anecdotal for sure, but my kids and most Android devices lead to numerous broken el

The fact that offering gig work to FT employees could have legal repercussions sounds off alarm bells about the US's unhealthy attitude towards employees. It's unfathomable to me that corporations can have so much power over one&#

Re-watched the video I was misremembering, and they're iterating exactly what you mentioned. I learned more about Afghanistan from this than anything in the news for the past two decades -- https://www.youtube.com/watch

IIRC, historically, the tribal settlements in the country never had a ton of interaction with each other due to the terrain. I think it's a great example of modern borders not making much sense given the interactions of the population.

I'm a fan of anything to make management of T1/LADA simpler. Didn't realize how much of a chore management is until I was diagnosed with LADA in October of 2019. I feel for all of you that have been dealing with T1 for years&

Continual draw for external monitors and PCs adds up. Anecdotal, but I know quite a few devs in this area had a pretty easy time fitting a desk into their master bedroom when needed.

Kudos for 18 years at home, that's incredible! I've done ~5 years for the majority of time now, and now with four kids that need extensive time with me, I will forever take a WFH position. With discipline, it makes for an exceptio

Alcohol is the one that really throws me off. IT's often a malevolent substance yet has none of the stigma of "hard" drugs. Societal acceptance of alcohol, hell even encouragement, has led to countless deaths in this country.
