Fun and inspiring. I once made a site devoted to McGriddle fan fiction that has a cool McGriddle gif, and each layer of the McGriddle image hides a surprise. http://blueskiesabove.us/mcgriddle/ Not sure if that's

I don't know anything about how frequently Eastern European and Middle East countries act on DMCA. But I do know that this frequently occurs with US ISPs.

This seems cool. In the recent past, I have made custom styles in mapbox studio, then used that as a basemap (via WMTS) in qgis. The dealbreaking issue at the time was that when exporting my maps to PDF, the basemap elements would scale bas

The value of location spoofing is to access geographically-restricted content (like a netflix show that is available through their service in Europe but not the US), not to avoid DMCA notices. VPNs are valuable for avoiding DMCA because it

Can't wait for the "you don't need a VPN" folks to acknowledge that they don't understand why lots of people actually use VPNs. It's DMCA, man. DMCA.

The "Don't use VPN services" argument is weak because it doesn't acknowledge one of the most common reasons for using a VPN: avoiding DMCA notices.

I actually threw out my G2 yesterday (battery was missing, and it had been sitting in my drawer for... 10 years?), and it made me sad. Every day I pine for a sweet slider keyboard. So, this Fxtec Pro1 is super intriguing! I'm sorta stu

Does it support group messaging? I don’t see that mentioned. That was the deal breaker for me when I used Firefox OS, Ubuntu Touch, and Sailfish OS in the past. I loved them all! But they all had a dealbreaker or two.

Well, the article does describe another way. I’ve been buying ebooks and stripping the DRM for years just so I can have an archive. It sucks, but I feel it’s worth it to support the authors (I recently switched from kindle to kobo, under t
