Very nice site! I was surprised that selecting multiple values to filter by resulted in an "OR" query rather than an "AND" one. Is that just because there isn't a lot of content yet? Also, some sort of structured

Iirc Firefox lets you copy/paste alert text, but it was years ago when I tried that so I'm not 100%. But you could also use Google Translate on your phone just by taking a picture of your screen.

While I haven't had any real life interactions with these, I can think of a couple scenarios where it might make sense: - Your company handles dangerous or highly regulated materials (prescription drugs, hazardous materials, etc.) and

BTW, if you want to audit, you need to search for each course individually (or click seycombi's links above) and click the Enroll button there, there's no Audit option if you click Enroll on the full Specialization.

I really thought this was going to be a post where someone trained a model to output "ML code" from Quora answer snippets, though I guess in that case StackOverflow would've been a better source.

Mike Ash has started posting again after a long hiatus: https://www.mikeash.com/pyblog/ The URL is very misleading, his blog is about Objective-C (and now Swift) internals, in a very loose way like an "Old New Thi

That's actually no longer true, you need to join the free dev program, but can publish to your own device without paying $100/year. The $100 is only needed for the App Store now.

Maybe it's a hybrid approach where most of the load is handled by the SaaS "mothership" but users could opt-in to running additional AWS Marketplace nodes in their own infrastructure to have more direct access to their data?

When I saw mention of AWS Lambda in their docs, I thought this was going to be something I ran myself on my own AWS account. But that's not the case. I'd really like to see more BaaS run with that model. My understanding is tha

I remember supporting NeoTrace, via landline no less. And stuffing envelopes with floppies for the purchased version (it was shareware). And writing some of the code too.

Judging from mbesto's comment, back when they were on AWS, those costs would have been included in EBITDA? So if AWS cost $10/year, would EBITDA be $10?

Personally, I prefer the map/filter approach because people is now a let constant, but I work at a startup with people that don't come from a software development background that would have next to no idea what that line even mean

The issue is those 50,000 descriptions aren't labeled good/bad. Someone had to pick a subset of them and label them, so my guess is they did this for maybe 100 or 200 descriptions.

I came here to post this video as well, Mathologer is a great channel, I often prefer his explanations to Numberphile's. Highly recommended.
