Product Manager here. The answer is because we are tied to the ESR release cycle we have to release at a certain time (we are working on changing this). So we're shipping all the work that is done and stable. There is still work to be

As the Community Manager for Thunderbird, I can say that this comment is correct. The non-profit Mozilla Foundation had many rules about what we could and could not do. The new Corp gives us more freedom, legally.

Thunderbird community manager here. This is correct. Moving from the Mozilla Foundation (non-profit) meant we had to cancel recurring donations. We hope everyone will resume via https://give.thunderbird.net
