Yeah, Obama seems to have promised more of that than he was able/willing to deliver.

Most 19th century architecture is completely unfeasible to build today. If only we had more of those non-union wage slaves to build are elaborate monuments like the good old days! Dubai has that now I guess.

If huge corporations are hiding parts of their operations under a 501c status it SHOULD be looked into. Don't fall into the trap that Tea Party members fell into. This is not a scandal. Don't cry about it. No big deal.

I need to install this as the site has no screenshots but is this really a flat file CMS with a GUI? I just started working on a GUI for Pico but this could be really great. [edit] A shot on the Github page: https://github.com&#x

Erm... I guess that was the point of the map: cheer up! libraries are everywhere! But still, it would be really interesting to see them per-capita.

Per capita would be a huge improvement. It looks awfully similar to a population map at the moment.

Premature f-bombation. http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2013/06/sean-p... Not that you care what I think, or will read this but I'm sorry for pre-judging. Apparently you can't believe everything you read on the internet.

I would probably start with removing the red from the titles first. Removing the red completely would take away from the overall design which is too nice to mess up. I always think a straight forward headline/copy relationship should be ach

Exactly. "Nothing says, "I love the Earth!" quite like bringing bulldozers into an old-growth forest to create a fake ruined castle." Fuck you Sean Parker. Couldn't you have just flown everybody out to a real castle somewhere for $20 millio

Looks beautiful, interesting pay model. Seems like enough people still use RSS readers... Just 2 feature requests: 1.) Let us change the one color :) That red is pretty, but distracts from the content. Dustin Curtis got this right on his mi

I agreed with this sentiment a year or so ago but Bootstrap sites already look pretty dated. I think something like Foundation is a better idea because the site looks pretty great "after 5 minutes" without looking like a Foundation site.

I really don't understand the hate with which Dan Lyons is speaking. Startups are crazy, sometimes hugely profitable companies that sometimes start up with the same money it takes to start a restaurant or less. Sometimes they succeed, somet

What a great thought and a what a great way to express it. 37signals proves time and time again they have mastered the art of expressing so much with so few words.

And here we have a live example of the target demographic the political advert was target towards. I'm surprised that a WoW player running for political office doesn't in and of it's self alter your expectations of players.

A coworker and I were de-duping records in a database. One of us said while pairing on the script "well, every slave needs a master." An african american woman in the office turned to us and said "maybe it's the master who needs the slave?"
