As part of the Los Angeles 2024 bid, they are supposedly taking a different approach, in that they plan to utilize the existing student housing at UCLA for their athlete village.

If you were immortal, you could pay off a loan over hundreds of years. Imagine a mortgage of $500K being paid off over 3 years. Suddenly, paying $1M-$2M isn't such a barrier.

Wouldn't #1 result in a race to the bottom? Why wouldn't a foreign country use tax policy to lower their corp rates towards zero in order to attract foreign tax revenue? After all, some tax is better than no tax.

If you believe the intended positioning, the Bolt and the Model 3 are cars with EV power plants, but intended for different segments. The Model 3 is intended to be positioned as a premium vehicle (BMW 3 series, etc), while the Bolt seems to

The $7,500 is in effect for the first 200,000 sold by the manufacturer. I don't think many of the people who preordered will have their car in time to take advantage of the tax credit.

Power rates vary widely in the US. In Southern California, I am above $0.30/kWh. I haven't done the math recently, but I don't think it's very cost competitive with today's gasoline prices for an ICE.

I didn't know the teachers were the ones earning the grades. See the posts above that cite what happens to re-gentrified areas, where the social-economic make-up of a school changes but the teacher make-up does not.
