Definitely more common to just use streaming services like Spotify, but some people do own their music library. There’s probably a decent sized overlap of those who buy music and those who self host things like jellyfin

This is awesome, gonna check it out. Thanks! Helpful to look at a big rust project too as I’m learning rust.

Ok, I guess I just didn’t think someday soon meant “the next couple hundred years”. I agree with what you’re saying though.

I don’t really understand your point about AI freeing up your time to do other stuff at your job. Does your employer let you work less hours since you’re finishing projects sooner? Mine certainly doesn’t, and I’d rather be coding than doing

I said something similar in a different thread but the joy of actually physically writing code is the main reason why I became a software developer. I think there is some beauty to writing code. I enjoy typing the syntax, the interaction wi

So you think it's better to wait until people are harmed than for companies to go through the proper approval process for these drugs?

I wish it was silent, we've been hearing about it non-stop for the past 4 years. I agree it is sad though. I changed careers from one I was unhappy with into software development. Part of what drew me to software was that (at least som

Man I'm glad someone said this. Incredibly cringe and unnecessary using the whole wolf analogy for, essentially, "someone who's good at their job". Gives off vibes of the whole "alpha/high value male" thin

I dont think parent comment was being petty. Not understanding what agents write, especially in larger and/or more complex code bases is a valid thing to be concerned about. It's not really about understanding assembly or machine

With how much big tech/big corps in general are shoving AI down everyones throats its not surprising people feel the need to say stuff like this. I do find them helpful for learning, but obviously it s not required.
