My negotiation skills are okay, but mattresses have absurd markups. Sales guy said $900 was the wholesale price, but I highly doubt that. I'm sure they still made at least a few hundred dollars on the sale. I've heard the wholesal

Buying a mattress is aggravating, but my experience has been rather different. Maybe I went to different types of stores, I don't know. I did notice that each store/chain seems to sell very similar mattresses that are somehow tech

Tip for US users WRT loyalty cards: Most of these systems allow you to use your phone number rather than having the actual card. Use whatever the local area code is with 867-5309 as the phone number (from a song). I've never had this n

Has he ever used the POTUS account? From its recent activity it appears to be run by a PR team and only retweets things. As far as Twitter is concerned, his "personal account" is an official government account, exempt from being b

Even just the half of the key in that secreenshot is likely to be sufficient to recover the whole thing as well - RSA private key formats have a ton of redundant data.

I've actually found that rotating the email address I have listed in whois quarterly addresses the spam problem pretty well. Phone number goes to my Google Voice account which is set up to send everything directly to voicemail.

TiVo had a 30 second skip feature to make manually skipping ads easy that they "disabled" (there was a "cheat code" to turn it back on) to avoid legal issues. They also had a button to skip 8 seconds back, but that was f
