Personally I am also not convinced that LHV theories will every describe the effects correctly. But whether the successor of QM ultimately contains true randomness or not, there is no reason to think it will forever stay an 'inexplicab

No reason to be so pessimistic about quantum randomness. Quantum theory is barely 100 years old and our understanding of it is still evolving massively. Though the latter is not always appreciated by the public.

You are confusing lifestyle choices with lifestyle constraints. Europe in general has a much less developed culture of going out for food. People will do it occasionally, but often prefer to prepare there own, even in a social setting. This

Those companies can be fantastic environments to grow and learn. Not everyone knows at 21 that they want to be an entrepreneur, much less has a great idea that they want to pursue. Muse uses technology to tackle very traditional industry-ty

Apologies for the late reply. Do you have a source for that request of Merkel's? You specifically mentioned "forget their role in two world wars". That is not the same as stating the - historically accurate notion - that Germ

Exactly. People wonder why salaries are so high in finance. Part of that is intense recruiting competition. Finance pays out a fantastic amount of profits to the people generating them, i.e. the employees, rather than just the shareholders.

I think this is completely wrong. Just because one area - in this case, social media - works well does not mean others do not. Stop defining yourself through success relative to others. Yes, social media is a particular low hanging fruit -

This. All this hate for the European health care systems is just misguided and ignorant. Health care delivery is one of the few sectors of the economy that the US is not world class in (despite having the best medical research). We all have

No it doesn't - these are not mutually exclusive choice. How are expenses for US health care and aid to foreign countries related? You could just as well budget the money for the latter against the expense for a coffee, an aircraft car

Where does this myth come from that universal healthcare systems like the European ones deny coverage for black swan events? They don't. What procedures are covered has little to do with whether the system is single payer or not.
