I think "The Implementation of functional Languages" by Simon PJ is better, a real aha book. It is also available on-line for free. Though the one mentioned here is newer.

I hate quoting myself but: Any sufficiently complicated concurrent program in another language contains an ad hoc informally-specified bug-ridden slow implementation of half of Erlang. With all respect to Greenspun.
