I agree that there is no good analogy for what Facebook is, because it is different. But I think what people really mean when they say this is that Facebook has largely supplanted those things. This might not be true where you are, or for

I have just under ten years of AA (and sobriety) under my belt, so I have heard a lot of war stories. I can't remember ever hearing anyone claim more than about 0.65% BAC. 1% sounds more than a little extreme.

It is not open hardware. I don't think you can get schematics for the modules. But it is a lot easier to replace the display or the core board than in most other phones. For one, you open it with a screwdriver, not a hot air gun. And

I know lots of people had issues with their FP2, but I have to say I used mine for just under five years (before it stopped booting). I'll give that it didn't always feel reliable (random reboots etc), but it worked well enough. I

One of my dream projects is a graphical, single-user operating system for, say, small ARM microcontrollers. You can easily get 10x the computing power of an Atari that runs in tens of milliamps.

I think it's a bit weird to talk of the universe being just or unjust. The universe is what it is. To me, an action taken by a person can be just or unjust, and a person can be said to be just or unjust based on a sort of average of th
