Except it’s not necessarily. As a software developer, you have the privilege to not really care about money if you don’t want to. I didn’t have money problem, ever. Without even trying. I can fly three times between Europe and America, and

Some of the commenters under your comment shows that Hacker News is not a “good place”. Pseudoscience is strong here. At least we got answer to that, but not to your question.

First of all, funny that this is the first comment for which you need citation. Second, a simple Google search can help you.

It matters because if the USA doesn’t have it because of your reasoning, then all of those people lied. And currently, your words against basically the whole relevant literature, laws, and basically almost all of humanity. Especially those

You need to be on the sun minimal time to maximise these benefits. It happens earlier than getting for example a tan.

Tan already means DNA damage, AKA increased cancer risk. Just because you won’t necessarily be burned, it doesn’t mean, it’s not bad for you. So it’s definitely not that simple.

I read somewhere that most of the people need SPF50+, because they apply it “badly”, AKA not enough, and definitely not often enough.

In the summer, you only need a few minutes of exposure. Basically, you get that even if you use sunscreen all the time, because you make mistakes.

While it is “something” regarding cancer risk, it’s way closer to nothing than to regard this as any kind of useful protection.

So are you saying that nobody wants free speech (except anarchists as I mentioned)?

It didn’t mean that in Ancient Greece because whoever used that idea didn’t thought that slaves were humans, it didn’t mean that in Middle Ages because everybody who used that used it for specific locations or forms, and it definitely doesn

Freedom of speech almost never meant and never will mean to be able to speak whatever you want to whoever you want wherever you want whenever you want. No matter what propaganda tells. There are limits and will be limits, and except anarchi

While you are right, there is a reason why I used the way more constrained “your reasoning”, than “reasoning”.

There is no difference between your reasoning and religiousness. You cannot prove it either. That “could” in parent comment is a very important part of what they said.

Yes, but unfortunately, the past 10 years the alternative became way worse. Propaganda, rage baits, AI generated content, pointless click baits, ads. There is no value anymore on the general internet. If you want value, if you want it to wo

I hate this. “No known safe level” is not the same as “no safe level”. And that is not equal to “no amount”. Stupid press releases and newspapers use all three all the time. While in reality, we almost always can state only the first one. T

Hopefully, that’s the case. However, the past decade seems to show us, that if something seems hyperbolic, it’s usually rather serious at the moment. When I was hyperbolic any time in my life, I simply lied even to myself at that given mome

I don’t think that it’s not an improvement. It’s not an improvement in context of finding new genuine solutions, sure. But that’s definitely not needed most of the time in real life for an average person, just like it’s not needed for an av

You’ve just described the scientific method. That’s how it is intended, and that’s currently the best way to make decisions according to our knowledge. Failure is completely normal.

While 30 days sounds extreme, I’ve got plenty of warnings in the past 25 years from sites which wanted, and did delete my account because I didn’t visit their site in a specified timeframe, like half a year, or a year.

The question is the problem. The answer is not a yes/no, but a point on a scale of multiple dimensions. Most of these studies don’t answer the question asked here, but a completely different question. And also most of these studies don

Your comment is still totally irrelevant what others are talking about. It’s fine to admit that you don’t know about something no matter its relevance. It’s not fine to be proud of it no matter its relevance to anybody.

According to physics, it must be stochastic. The only question is distribution, and whether we can ignore outlier cases.
