Dark mode is for people who prefer dark mode. Yes, the science seems to indicate that light mode is generally more readable, personal preference be damned. I'm generally a light mode person, despite growing up on "dark mode"

Presumably this would be port-based fractional and 443/tcp would cost a premium.

We own our own IPv4 and IPv6 ranges, which is nice. There already is a holder for the US: ARIN.net and I hear it's a pretty spendy annual fee for most orgs (we're legacy. we've had ours for decades)

For others who don't know what Beancount is (the link on his site is 404). It's a Python library to work with money. https://github.com/beancount/beancount/blob/master/README.rs...

The image header appears to be an AI-generated and certainly doesn't look like Ellison, despite the image's name. It doesn't bode well for the rest of the article.

I don't even like Python as a language (it's growing on me, but only a little). It's just so useful: uv is great and there are decent quality packages for everything imaginable.

I would not be putting up with Python if not for uv. It’s that good. Before uv came along I was starting to write stuff in Go that I’d normally write in Python.

I doubt anyone operating the AI vacuum would pay attention or care about your licensing. They’d happily vacuum it up knowing that they have a much larger litigation budget than you do.
