Thank you! Now if someone could tackle the rest of the variables in startup funding in the same easy-to-follow manner, they'd get some seriously good karma (not points, actual goodwill).

Someone should create a comprehensive A-Z guide/wiki to this whole niche of startup investing with the assumption that it's readers have no finance background whatsoever. That someone will then earn a lot of goodwill for explaining in detai

Kudos to Jessica. I just hope ppl don't hype her beyond reason ('wunderkind', 'female zuckerberg' etc). That kind of pressure at such a young age can be crippling. Let her grow and succeed at her own pace.

Is the publishing of updates automatic? As in if a user 'likes' a blog page and the blog publishes a new article, does that new page get pushed into the user's news feed automatically? Or does the blog have to do something extra to keep pus

I get flamed on HN 3 times a day, I don't know why news.ycombinator.com, the incubator, has this site where people, nerds, talk about stuff Your tone over the word 'nerds' (and the entire 30 seconds around it) is exactly why you get fla

Reddit would benefit from more resources and less corporate interference. We can offer all of the above. How does working in the sweatshop that is the Cheezburger Network = less coporate interference? Edit for clarification: http://www.g

You're making an awful lot of assumptions but since this is HN and not a gay webmaster forum, I'll bite. you can get .05 a click, but it won't matter if that particular keyword converts at 1:200. Just because it converts at 1:200 for you

conversion rates depend on your traffic. You can get 1:50 or you can get 1:200...or you can buy some paid traffic and get 0:25,000 This doesn't even make any sense as an argument, it's like saying water is wet and air is dry. And 'buy som

Your numbers are way off. Take the conversion rate for example - 1 in 200 is absolutely ludicrous and if that's what a marketer is averaging, then he should quit. I sling ebooks aplenty and I average around 10% CR, and I'm just an above a

I could be wrong but I don't think unique pageview = unique visitor. If our site gets 10,000 uniques today, we'd like to see a breakdown of the pages that brought in these 10,000 uniques, not their uniqe pageviews.
